New York State Law prohibits the sale of tobacco products to persons under the age of 18. This includes the sale of cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, pipes, wrapping paper, etc.

At Smokes 4 Less, the only acceptable form of identification is a valid New York State Driver's license or non-driver ID issued by New York State.

Smoke 4 Less corporate policies which reinforces our responsible smoking philosophy include:

  • Asking the question of all customers, "Are you over the age of 18?".
  • Carding/proofing any customer who appears to be under the age of 30 before initiating the sale of tobacco. 
  • If a group of persons attempts to purchase tobacco products, each individual must provide valid identification verifying they are over the age of 18.
